Mount Temple Road

One of several streets built by the Dublin Artisans’ Dwellings Company in Stonybatter, on land purchased from Lady Mount Temple, hence the name.1

Lady Mount Temple died in October 1901,2 so the purchase must have taken place earlier that year.

The name of this road, along with that of Olaf Road and Norseman Place, was suggested by the Company, and was approved by the Corporation in 1904.3
