Streetsbroadandnarrow.ie is a sort of follow-up to Rev’d Christopher Teeling [no relation] M’Cready’s Dublin Street Names, dated and explained, published in 1892.

My main aim is to ‘date and explain’ the names of streets that are not in M’Cready, mainly because they were built after 1892, or are outside the area he covered.

A secondary aim is to update M’Cready’s entries where I come across something that should be updated.

This is a work in progress, and updates might be a tad sporadic, but I hope you find it interesting.
