Abbey Park

Running from Killester Avenue to Abbey Court, Abbey Park is named (presumably) from Killester Abbey, which was located nearby to the east, where the Killester Park houses are now.

In May 1948 houses on Abbey Park were advertised for sale as ‘Attractive well-built Houses, 2 reception rooms, 3 bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom, separate w.c.‘ Prices started at £1,950.¹

The following month the houses were advertised as being from £1,800, with the builder named as Mr Patrick McGuinness.²
