Reuben Street

Running north from Cork Street, Dublin 8, Reuben Street was developed in the early 1900s.

In 1903 the houses were advertised as ‘wonderful value’ at ‘£220 each’.1

The street was taken in charge by the Corporation on 12 December 1904.2

The name presumably derives from the location of the street close to ‘Little Jerusalem’, the Jewish area of the city, but if anyone knows anything more I’d be happy to hear from them.
